As part of its expansion, Index is looking for a new full time Software Engineer to be part of its Montreal team.

At Index, some of your activities will include:

• Working closely with product owners, full-stack developers and designers of various teams;
• Assure quality control (clean code culture);
• Translate software requirements into code;
• Project leadership: Engaging with different departments to help design the best software solution for the challenges faced;
• Contribute to the company’s research and development activities.

Skills / Experience

• Experience equivalent to 1 year + of ReactJS
• Experience equivalent to 1 year + of NodeJS
• Git is a must
• GraphQL
• Docker and containerization
• Architecture designs and its applications
• Database design knowledges: SQL (Postgres, MySQL, etc) & NoSQL (Mongo)

• Knowledge of SEO, online advertising, social media and web marketing strategies
• Experience with data science / AI solutions
• Degree in computer science or similar
• Distributed solutions and microservices: Kubernetes, Docker, Message Brokers
• Cloud as Infrastructure knowledge (GCP, can you AWS, etc)
• Background in startups, SaaS, or scaling various technology products
• Contributed to open-source projects
• International experience
